CBR1000RR 08-09

This example is a 'Full Race Specification' tune. The FW Developments spec CBR1000RR8 was developed for the VK Vent-Axia PBM Honda team in the World Superbike championship.

The complete engine was stripped to the crankcases, that were then modified and re-built with a balanced crank and aftermarket pistons. All bearings were measured and re-sized. The cylinder head was ported and valve seats cut to give a sufficient valve to piston clearance. FWD spec camshafts were fitted and shimmed to suit.

The end result was a 210bhp machine, enough to compete with any superbike in the world.
