R1 07-08

This example is a 'Full Race Specification' tune to comply with the Superbike regulations. This FW Developments spec YZF-R1 07 was developed for the Blackhorse Yamaha Racing team for Ian Lougher to contest the TT, North West 200 and various road races..

The complete engine was stripped to the crankcases. The crankshaft was balanced and con-rods weight matched. All bearings were measured and re-sized. The cylinder head was ported and valve seats cut. FWD spec camshafts were fitted and shimmed to suit.

The end result is a Superbike machine, producing between over 190bhp.
